The North Umpqua River is famous as the home of some of the most challenging steelhead fishing in the world. The river bottom is extremely slippery, the current strong and the fish most particular! The average North Umpqua steelhead weighs eight pounds, with an occasional fifteen pounder.
You can fish the North Umpqua the year around for steelhead. Steelhead begin to arrive in the fly water in June; by July the fishing begins in earnest and continues through Thanksgiving. Winter steelheading is much more weather dependent; fishing can be good from late January through mid April. The regulations call for barbless hook, artificial fly only and catch & release of all wild fish in the fly water. The Umpqua River basin is closed to trout fishing below Soda Springs Dam.
To most fly fishermen, the ultimate challenge is the steelhead, the wary and tenacious sea-going trout. Ernie Schwiebert calls it “the unmistakable royalty of the Pacific Coast.” Jack Hemingway called the water just upstream from Steamboat Inn “the greatest stretch of summer steelhead water in the United States.”

chinchillas can be excellent pets! here are a few things to know:
the cage needs to be in a cool dry place in your home, in an area where you will see them but they won’t be scared by loud noises. i keep my chinchilla in my bedroom. unless you have mroe than 1, they’re VERY quiet, and even with several I wouldn’t call them loud by any means.
chinchillas live 10-20 years, and are very social. if you get only 1 chinchilla, play with it each day for even 10-30 minutes. even though they are noctournal, they will adjust to your schedule if you play with them at the same time, or get home at the same time, each day to play with you. since they’re naturally curious, you can also buy them toys and things to play with and jump on.
chinchillas need hay and water as their staple d9iet, with pellets, seeds, and the occasional treat to keep them happy. they need to stay cool and dry, or they will become dehydrated (water on their fur can result in mold). they also need to roll around in some dust/sand you buy at pet stores once every 2-3 days to keep their fur from getting to oily.
other than that, as long as you are loving and careful with your chinchilla, they will trust you and be excited to see you each day.

There are many. Some of the main ones:
I would start with the Montessori foundation. Here is an article written by Tim Seldin, who is President of the Montessori Foundation. It gives a good overview:
http://www.montessori.org/sitefiles/Montessori_101_nonprintable.pdf
More information can be found at their web site, including a few videos:
http://www.montessori.org
I didn’t read the whole thing, but did scan the wikipedia article. It seems safe:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maria_Montessori
Here’s a biography of Maria Montessori from the North American Montessori Teacher’s Association:
http://www.montessori-namta.org/NAMTA/geninfo/mmbio.html
To view many of the teaching materials used in today’s schools developed and tested by her, visit a Montessori supply web site. Here is the Nienhius website:
http://www.nienhuis.com/index.php
You can go to youtube.com and type in “Montessori.” There are a few good videos. I recommend the ones by usernames TimSeldin and EricDVD Those might not be the *exact* user names, but they are close.
Take a look at my blog:
http://www.myspace.com/MontessoriBlog
That’s a I good start at the moment. You asked a question similar to saying, “what important things did Ghandi do for peace?” There’s no quick answer for you.

In case you didn’t get my message…
To answer to your first question:
I am sure you already know how to add an image/picture to your YouTube channel background, right? If not, go to “M y Account”. Under the Manage My Channel tab, click on
“Channel design”. In channel design, scroll down the page until you see the “Background image (URL)” box. This is where you copy and paste the URL of the background image that you want to use for your channel.
Below is the link to the GIF background that you referred to on that YouTube channel that has an animated background (or as you call it, “video-like”):
http://i19.tinypic.com/80zxngo.gif
You can experiment with that URL with your own channel’s backgorund. You can always find better animated backgrounds on Glitter Graphics:
http://www.glitter-graphics.com
Once you have saved it (the background image) to your computer, you can upload it on any photo hosting websites (like Flickr, PhotoBucket). Once uploaded on either site, you will automatically be generated to the background image’s URL. This URL is important because it is the one that you copy and paste into the “Background image (URL)” box in the Channel Settings page.
Once you’re done, click on the “Save settings” button. There’s a preview to the right of your screen to make sure everything’s the way you want it to be.
As for your second question on how to make a video to autoplay on your channel, that feature is for YouTube “Partners” profile only. Sorry!
G’luck!

Yes you can get an all-day or weekly public transport passes to get around Sydney. While you can get this at any train station, I would recommend you getting it from Town Hall train station on George Street. There are machines dispensing these tickets but if you are unsure as to what to get, you can go to one of the ticket booths and the attendants there will be more than happy to recommend the tickets for you.
The ticket prices vary depending on the validity of the ticket (daily / weekly) and the coverage of the trips. You can get one ticket that covers train / bus / ferry which is a good way to get around Sydney. However I’m just not sure how much it costs. Check out http://www.sta.nsw.gov.au/ for NSW State Transit Authority, who runs the bus / train / ferry network in Sydney.

I agree,
The knee joint of “Lucy” (Australopithecus afarensis) was discovered in the Fall of 1973 near Hadar in the Afar Triangle of Ethiopia over a mile away and 200 feet deeper than the other bones (uncovered in Oct. 1974) –which Johanson incredibly claims to have belonged to the same individual!! Actually, the ulna:humerus ratio of these bones is 92.5%, well within the range of true ape [chimpanzee (95%) vs. human (80%)]. In addition, the valgus angle (i.e., a measure of the extent that the leg above the knee bends outward or laterally) of Johanson’s 1974 bones is about 15 degrees, which is indicative of a strong tree climber like an orangutan or spider monkey. Professional concensus as to “Lucy’s” identity now favors that of arboreal ape, not an ape-to-man hominid intermediate.
As a professed Bible believer, you will enjoy perusing the following scholarly works written for the interested layman:
Evolution: the fossils Still say No! (1995) by Duane T. Gish [who will be in Glen Rose, Tx., on June 3rd] and Bones of Contention (1992) by Marvin L. Lubenow [available at the Creation Evidence Museum].

When you look at Ancestry.Com and see the place of origin given by immigrants to the U.S., this is what they gave
England 4659
Ireland 3918
Great Britain 1048
Wales 720
Scotland 304
Germany 53
It states it is English and Welsh a patronymic from the Middle English and Anglo Norman personal name Hugh
Welsh variant of Howells
Irish and Scottish variant and Anglicization of the Gaelic MacAndha (see McCoy)
The same surname very frequently can come from more than one national origin and not everyone with the same surname are not necessary related, even those of the same national origin. See the link below from the most prestigious genealogical organization in the U.S, The National Genealogical Society.
http://www.ngsgenealogy.org/comconsumerpsst.cfm
Rootsweb(free site) has over 368,000 entries for Hughes in family trees submitted. Just pull up the site and put Hughes or a complete name in the World Connect block. If you see something that interest you, probe on a name and it will give you the name and email address of the submitter.
Just don’t take as absolute fact everything you see in family trees on any website, free or paid. The information is user submitted and mostly not documented or poorly documented. Even when you see the same information repeatedly by many different submitters, that is no guarantee it is correct.
A lot of people copy without verifying.

Fennell, I think it’s sort of a judgment call on your part.
When you compare the low rate of interest on the student loan with potential tax deferred returns on your retirement investment, it would seem you come out ahead in terms of total dollars. On the other hand, you have to consider that not paying more on your student loans means less cash flow in the future because you’re paying longer on the loans.
I tend to like your idea of maxing the 401(k) contribution, and put half or maybe even 25% of max into an IRA (by the way, you should probably do a ROTH IRA as opposed to a traditional one because it’s tax-free retirement savings, not just tax-deferred). Double or triple up on the loan payments, use some of the money for non-retirement savings (i.e., a rainy day fund) and you’ll probably be in better financial shape to really dig into retirement savings down the road as your income increases and your debt load shrinks.
Good luck!

Its between Street Sence and Any Given Saturday. Street Sence will go off as the favorite and will close the race very well. He is the only horse that is very good at this distance. The race is made for him to win. Any Given Saturday will be right there with him as they come to the poll. It looks like we will see a repeat of the Tampa Bay Derby where Street Sence beat Any Given Saturday by a nose. Also Any Given Saturday has Garrett Gomez on his back, who is the leading money earner for Jockeys this year.
Curlin will be up there but not in the top 3. Yes he is undefeated but for only running in 3 races the horse is not ready for such a big race and will fall up short.
One surprise horse to watch for is Storm in May. This 3 year old is going to be a special story that you will hear about all day. Bought for only $16,000, he has already earned over $400,000. Also he is completely BLIND in one eye!!!!
Altogether though… It should be a great day for racing!!!!
